Doctor Who?
I recently went for some routine medical checkup and I had quite an interesting conversation with the female doctor (Doctor A).
Doctor A: So... you had a baby this year. Who was your gynae?
Me: Ya. My Gynae was Doctor B.
Doctor A: Oh...Doctor B is such a charming man!
Me: Oh you know him?
Doctor A: Kind of. He is very experienced in his field. My husband is a gynae too and I once sat at a dinner beside him. So charismatic.
Me: Well, I guess he can be quite humorous sometimes.
Doctor A: He is quite old lah... but still very attractive at his age!
We both chuckled.
Doctor A: So... you also had your LASIK done this year?
Me: Ya but didnt go too well.... blah blah blah
Doctor A: I would never go for LASIK... blah blah blah. So who was your doctor?
Me: Doctor C
Doctor A: Oh... Doctor C!
Me: Huh? You know him too?
Doctor A: Aiya, he always appear on magazines mah
Me: He looks very young hoh?
Doctor A: Looks young only but actually not that young. Don't really like him. So vain. Always unbutton his shirt a little and trying too hard to look good. How much he charges? Where is his clinic?
Me: blah blah blah
Doctor A: Huh? His clinic is there uh. That place good enough for him meh? He so vain... thought he would be here in Paragon. That Doctor B is so much better than him. Older but more charming.
We both chuckled again.
Before this, I never expected Doctors to gossip (or even bitch).
At least not with the patient.
Then again... I guess it is a "woman" thing... regardless of profession :)

Toy On The Wrist
Following my recent entries about toys... here is another addition by courtesy of The Man. By now, you would have realised most if not all of my toys are not bought by myself :P
How is this a toy?? Simply because it is Toy Watch! Name aside, it actually feels so light and plastic that it can totally pass off as a toy :) But hey... they are quite a big hit with famous wrists :)
Now I am even tempted to get the white one. It is such a cool and simple piece of accessory that so effortlessly adds colour and vigor to your outfit, no matter how plain it is.

Wardrobe Crisis
I am having the worst wardrobe crisis ever.
I never realised how serious it is until that day when I finally governed up enough courage to try on my pre-pregnancy clothes which I had painstakingly kept organised neatly in my wardrobe when I shifted house (come to think about it, I shouldn't have bothered)
To illustrate the extent of how disastrous it is... imagine not being able to pull up my pants past my mid thigh! And not only do the buttons & the holes on my shirt not meet, they are a good three inches apart! And yes, I was already holding my breath while trying them on.
I guess before that I have been in denial, hoping that I would fit right back in them "one day" (now this "one day" seems too bleak to be in this lifetime).
Now it is time to bid farewell to all my beloved clothes and they will soon be heading for cartons or other people's wardrobes. Sigh, their destiny it shall be...
As the chinese saying goes: "Old ones don't go away, New ones wouldn't come!"
So just the other day, I indulged in a short yet intensive shopping trip with XH (short because we both needed to rush back to breastfeed before we explode, intensive because we both recognised that shopping to replace an existing wardrobe is serious business :-)) Like how XH put it... we must have tried on like a zillion skirts in Zara for that 2 hours.
Though it was fruitful since we both went home with a few good items, the fact they were at least 2 sizes up my original can only be summed up in one word...Depressing!

Down to earth shoes
Don't think I have ever seriously owned any flats in my world of high heels (not considering my sloppy flip flops and sports shoes). Think deep down inside, I do enjoy feeling taller than my actual height :P
Now that all my heels have been relegated for the time being, I have just started my modest collection of flats.
One thing I realised ever since I started to shift my attention from heels to flats (reluctantly) while browsing in the shops - flats are really less exciting than heels and sadly, nice looking flats are few and far between.
So anyone who knows where to get really cool flats, drop some hints! :)

Ethical Fashion
I chanced upon this site which showcases an Australian designer whose label Heidi & Seek uses only fabric remains and second-hand reconstructs. Totally eco-friendly and standing up against manufacturing waste and labour exploitation in the exploding world of consumerism.
And who says going green and being fashionable cannot go hand-in-hand? Heidi & Seek promises just that.

Best Buy of The Month
As part of my continued quest for organizing my assets, I have recently acquired what I term as best investment of the month. If you are thinking of properties and gold and .... (pardon me for my lack of extensive examples but what other assets do people own anyway?!?), then you are obviously not someone who will appreciate what I am talking about here.
By "assets", I mean shoes, wardrobe, bags, accessories... you gals must know what I mean. If you havent noticed, I am able to produce a longer list of examples here :P
And tah dah...here it is.

Since then, I never have to spend minutes after minutes rummaging for the missing left/right earring!
Every gal should own one of this.
Ok and you guys too ... if you have your private collection that is.
